Attorney Zoila Marisol Gomez founded the Law Office of Zoila Gomez in 2006 after obtaining and JD from Massachusetts School of Law and her license to practice law from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Kimberly A. Williams, Associate Attorney
Attorney Kimberly A. Williams (Kim) is an Associate Attorney at Gomez & Palumbo, LLC and an expert litigator with ten years of experience in immigration, constitutional, civil rights, and administrative law. Kim focuses her practice on removal defense and appellate and federal litigation before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the First Circuit and the Third Circuit.
Kim obtained her J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston, MA, cum laude, in 2015, while receiving a Certified Concentration in Immigration Law. She also received her B.A. in Political Science and Psychology, summa cum laude, in 2003 and her M.A. in Political Science, summa cume laude, in 2006 from Purdue University. Between 2015-2017, Kim was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Attorney General’s Honor’s Program at the New York City’s Immigration Courts at 26 Federal Plaza (Non-Detained) and Varick Street (Detained) Locations. During law school, Kim had the opportunities to work as a legal intern with the U.S. Department of State with the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) in the Office of Policy and Resource Planning (PRP) as well as serve as an American Bar Association Student Liaison with the Center for Human Rights.
Kim is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She is also an active member of her community and has served as a long-time volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. She has also previously been an active volunteer with many local organizations in Indiana, Massachusetts, and New York and including Covenant House, Planned Parenthood, Pride Lafayette, and MIRA Coalition.

Petronila Veras-Rizwan, Associate Attorney
Petronila Veras-Rizwan is a passionate immigration attorney with extensive experience representing children and families in complex immigration matters. From 2020 to 2024, she served as a Staff Attorney at Gomez and Palumbo (now Gomez and Martinez, LLC), where she led numerous Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) cases, represented clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS. She returned to the firm in April 2025 in the same role.
From 2024 to early 2025, Petronila worked at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) as a Staff Attorney on the Released Team, advocating for unaccompanied minors. There, she mentored pro bono attorneys and managed cases across the Immigration Court, Probate and Family Court, and USCIS within a national nonprofit framework. From 2017 to 2020, Petronila worked at Murray and Associates Law Group, where she handled a broad range of immigration and family law matters.
Petronila's legal career is rooted in a deep commitment to immigrant rights. Fluent in Spanish, Petronila combines legal expertise with cultural competence to ensure equitable representation for all clients. Known for her compassionate advocacy and bilingual communication skills, Petronila is particularly dedicated to serving immigrant communities with professionalism and empathy.
She earned her J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law, holds a Master of Science in Justice Studies from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal and Historical Studies from the University of Massachusetts. Omar Ogando, Operations Manager
Omar is the Operations Manager at Gomez & Palumbo, LLC. Having recently immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 2021, Omar was looking for a career change and had developed an interest in Immigration Law. He initially joined Gomez & Palumbo, LLC as a Paralegal in August of 2021 and was shortly thereafter promoted to Operations Manager. Due to his extensive experience in business management, Omar has led the Gomez & Palumbo, LLC team through this transformative process. His transition into the managerial role has been seamless and Omar has proven to be an invaluable member of our firm.
Omar obtained his Master’s in Business Management from PUCMM – Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra of Santo Domingo in 2007 and his Bachelor’s in Data Base Computer Science, Cum Laude, from the same university in 2004. Omar has over 15 years of experience working in management and comes to Gomez and Palumbo with a business background eager to manage the innerworkings of a law firm. His enthusiasm and ability to connect with people make him a leader who is approachable and kind.

Rosy Rosado, Litigation Assistant
Rosy Rosado joined Gomez & Martinez, LLC as a Litigation Assistant in February 2024. In 2009, she received her paralegal certificate from the Salter School in Malden, Massachusetts, and worked as a paralegal in the field of personal injury law for fourteen years. While working as a paralegal, she went to the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, and in 2019 she obtained her bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Legal Studies.
Rosy’s previous work experience helped her find her passion: advocating for those who need a voice. This passion for advocating for others is what gave her the drive to continue furthering her education, and she is pursuing a Law Degree at the Massachusetts School of Law. She is expected to complete her Juris Doctorate in the Fall of 2025.
Rosy has a heart for people who, like her, are working hard to fulfill their dreams. In her own words: “Our immigrant community is very diverse and makes substantial contributions to this great nation. I know firsthand how much hard work and dedication is required to fulfill dreams. Rosy Rosado se unió a Gomez & Martinez, LLC como Asistente de Litigios en febrero de 2024. Michelle Marcelo, Case Manager
Michelle Marcelo joined Gomez & Martinez, LLC as a Paralegal in October 2021 and now serves as the firm’s Case Manager. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Pre-Law from Mount Washington College (2018), and an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies.
Michelle’s passion for immigration advocacy began early in life, shaped by witnessing the challenges her Dominican immigrant family faced while building a life in the United States. As a proud first-generation Dominican-American, her mission is to be a strong voice for those seeking support and protection as they navigate complex immigration processes.

Evelyn Gonzalez Cuadrado was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She has three children and a granddaughter who brings her great joy. Her family is the most important part of her life, as they have taught her to appreciate what she has and to strive to be a better person every day. Evelyn studied Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, a field she practiced in her home country for 15 years. In December 2014, she emigrated to the United States. Although the transition was challenging, she has managed to move forward, gaining diverse work experience along the way.
In October 2023, Evelyn joined Gomez & Martinez, LLC in Lawrence, MA, as a Data Entry Assistant. Over time, her role has evolved, and she now proudly serves as a Paralegal. This journey has been enriching, as she continues to learn more about the extensive field of immigration every day. Her responsibilities include direct communication with clients, who have entrusted her with their immigration processes. Evelyn understands that waiting can be difficult for them, and she always encourages them to have faith and remain calm, assuring them that everything will be fine. Evelyn Gonzalez Cuadrado nació en Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. Tiene tres hijos y una nieta que le brinda una inmensa alegría. Yeimi Hernandez-Ovalle, Administrative Assistant
Yeimi Hernandez-Ovalle is a dedicated professional who embarked on her journey with Gomez & Martinez, LLC, in July 2020, immediately after her graduation from Greater Lawrence Technical School. In May 2025, she celebrated a milestone, obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
The daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, Yeimi has grown up with a profound appreciation for the fortitude and spirit of immigrant communities. She has firsthand insight into the obstacles they encounter in the United States, and these insights fuel her daily commitment to her role. Yeimi is driven by a deep-seated passion to make a substantive impact in the lives of the people she serves.
Articulating her ethos, Yeimi shares a personal credo: "There is an immense sense of fulfillment that comes with knowing I am playing a role in bettering the lives of others." As someone who places a high value on service and compassion, she takes pride in being a cornerstone of a team deeply invested in enhancing the wellbeing of others. Yohanna joined Gomez & Martinez LLC in June of 2022 as an Administrative Assistant and has grown into the role of Paralegal. Yohanna began working at the young age of 15, bringing with her a strong sense of responsibility, service, and dedication to helping others.

Javier Albaladejo, Data Entry Clerk
Javier Albaladejo was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He joined Gomez & Martinez, LLC in February 2025 as a Data Entry Clerk, where he strives to provide empathetic, accurate, and human-centered service. He is motivated by the opportunity to help people during important moments in their lives, always treating them the way he would like to be treated. He values teamwork and believes that learning from others is a constant opportunity for growth, allowing him to improve both personally and professionally.
Before this position, Javier worked as a security supervisor, an experience that strengthened his sense of responsibility, organization, and empathy. This stage taught him to lead by example and to be attentive to the needs of those around him—skills he now applies to every task he undertakes. He always seeks to give his best and is willing to collaborate wherever needed.
