Consular Process: Carmen Sanchez
"My name is Carmen Sanchez. I want to thank Zoila M. Gómez and her office for the excellent and professional work that they did on my behalf during her representation and the pendency of my immigration process. No words can describe the gratitude that me and my family feel for the resolution of all the problems with my immigration status in the United States. For 11 years I lived in the shadows after having entered the United States illegally. For all those years, I was unable to travel, work, or drive in this country. I married my husband Jose after I came to live in the USA and although he is a United States citizen, I was unable to obtain status through him while in the United States. My husband and I did not want to be separated so we decided to just wait for things to change. However, things turned difficult and bitter to swallow when my twin boys were born with many medical problems and we spent the first year of their lives in the Boston Children’s Hospital. When the twins were finally able to go home from the hospital, I because the children’s care taker and my husband the bread winner so we were always worried that some day we would have to be separated because I had no status. We did everything to try to get legal status but things got very complicated and I ended up I removal proceedings. For many years I looked for help with different attorneys, always with the same result, no real solution. Until one day, after having been placed in removal proceedings before the immigration court, my husband and I decided to go visit Attorney Zoila M. Gómez. Zoila was very professional and she accepted my case and said that she would represent me. I had hired an attorney from New York and he had not done any of the things he promised on the case. Attorney Zoila M. Gómez got to work immediately on my case and my husband and I were very confident and felt comfortable with her work. She was honest and told me that I had to leave the country with a voluntary departure order from the immigration judge. She told me not to worry and that she was confident that I would come back to the United States given my set of circumstances in my particular case and the illness of my children. My husband and I were scare but we decided to trust her and follow her advice. Following the advice given to us by Attorney Zoila M. Gómez step by step was the best decision we ever made because I am now living in the United States as a legal permanent resident and no longer have to live in the shadows or afraid that I will be separated from my family. Thank you Attorney Gomez for your work, your love for the work you do and for given us peace of mind." Thanks again Zoila and Gomez & Palumbo, LLC

"My husband and I came to Attorney Zoila M. Gómez with the biggest problem my family has ever faced. My husband was facing deportation/removal from the United States due to troubles he had been in many years prior. My husband was incarcerated for the duration of Attorney Gomez representation and she dealt with my family’s emotional and legal issues like no other professional I have ever dealt with. She showed compassion I did not think possible. She cared about my emotional stability, my husband’s, my children and my parents during this ordeal. She dealt with the human as well as the legal side of our situation. To Attorney Zoila M. Gómez we owe the peace of mind that I we have today, because my husband was able to get out of jail and retain his legal residency in the United States. Zoila is an extraordinary human being, a great professional and a very prepared woman. She always offered us hope and confidence in our case and it was really worth it to go through what we went through with her help. " Today we are happy to report that Gomez & Palumbo, LLC also helped Ruddy obtain Naturalization in the United States and he never has to worry about the threat of deportation which is something that every LPR is never safe from confronting.
